Learn to ski in Vermont from our acclaimed professional staff.

Okemo's teaching pros know how to get everyone gliding in style, no matter what your age or ability level. Their passion for the sport and their commitment to fun instruction and encouragement will help you meet whatever the challenge on the slopes. 

Our afternoon options are outlined below. Looking for morning lesson options?

Beginner Group Lessons
Levels 1-4; ski or board
Every Afternoon at 1:30 pm (2 hours long)
Cost:  $55

This program is eligible for HUGE midweek savings!

Level 1 green circle - You have never skied or snowboarded before.

Level 2 green circle - You can hold a wedge or slide in a straight run.

Level 3 green circle - You can make beginning turns and stops and want to develop more control and confidence.

Level 4 green circle - You can make rounded, controlled turns in both directions. Now you're ready to explore more advanced terrain.

First Tracks & Double Tracks Beginner Value Packages
Levels 1-2, ski or board

First Tracks helps you get the basics down the Okemo way, through personal, up-close instruction at a great value. With First Tracks you'll get a complete rental package, morning and afternoon beginner group lessons, and unlimited use of Okemo's lower mountain lifts.

Lesson Time: 10 am - Noon & from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm.
Price: Adults + Young Adults: $99; Juniors: $89

Double Tracks is a two-day program that builds on the skills learned in the first day of skiing or riding by getting students back out for a second straight day. Double Tracks includes three lessons, two on the first day, and one the morning of the second day. This package includes a full mountain lift ticket on day two. It adds up to more instruction, more time on the slopes, and more opportunities to improve.

Lesson Times: 10 am - Noon & from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm on day one; 10 am - Noon on Day Two.
Prices: Adults + Young Adults: $179; Juniors: $159



Cancellation Policy: Reservations are charged in full when booked and are non-refundable. Any change or cancellation requested within 2 days of the lesson date will be charged a fee of 20% of each reservation. Cancellations on the day of will result in a full forfeiture. All balances are good at Okemo for 1 calendar year and can be used around the resort except for culinary and lodging.

Afternoon Adventure Workshops
Levels 5 & Up, ski or board
Daily at 1:30 pm (2 hours long)
Cost: $73

This program is eligible for HUGE midweek savings!

You want to focus in on your favorite thing to do on the slopes. You want personalized attention and top notch coaching while still getting the chance to ski and ride with a couple of your peers who are into the same thing. These workshops are topic focused, have a maximum of 3 participants, and will give you all the tips and pointers to get you where you want to be. Join a small group or form your own. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

Beyond the Greens green circle blue square - Gain confidence and control while exploring easier blue terrain in the personalized setting that only an Adventure Workshop can offer.

True Blue blue square  - You're an intermediate skier who enjoys easier blue terrain, but you want to master a variety of turns at varying speeds on all types of blue terrain.

Park & Pipe blue square black diamond terrain park - Learn to ski Okemo’s wild and exciting terrain parks and Superpipes. We’ll show you how to maneuver through Okemo’s rails, hits, and pipes.

Bump it Up blue square black diamond - Whether you’re just getting started in the moguls or you’re looking to take your bump skiing to a new level, let Okemo’s pros provide the personalized coaching to get you there.

Snowboard Workshop Options 

Beyond the Greens green circle blue square - Gain confidence and control while exploring easier blue terrain in the personalized setting that only an Adventure Workshop can offer.

True Blue blue square  - You're an intermediate rider who enjoys easier blue terrain, but you want to master a variety of turns at varying speeds on all types of blue terrain.

Park & Park black diamond terrain park - Spend the afternoon learning freestyle the right way. Work with our coaches and learn basic thru advanced park and pipe skills at our Burton LTR Freestyle Center. Learn a few new moves and the do's and don'ts of park safety to make your time in the park more satisfying.

Freeride blue square black diamond terrain park - What would you like to work on? Let us know what you'd like to develop for a skill, what trail you might like to conquer, or what part of the mountain you would like to explore.

Advance reservations are highly recommended for all Ski & Ride School Programs. Please call (802) 228-1600 to guarantee availability. Last minute bookings are possible on a space available basis only.

Notes and Meeting Points

  • Group Lessons meet at Lower Meeting Area and Jackson Gore Meeting Area.
  • Adventure Workshops. Beyond the Greens and True Blue meet at the Base Upper Meeting Area and at Jackson Gore. Park & Pipe, Bump it Up! and Freeride meet at the Upper Base Meeting Area only.
  • Meeting areas and lesson schedules are subject to change prior to December 17, 2011 and after March 18, 2012.
  • Purchase of a lift ticket is necessary for all lessons requiring use of a chairlift.
  • Lessons and clinics may ski/ride terrain other than those indicated in the lesson/clinic descriptions. Terrain selection is at the discretion of the individual instructor based upon the ability level of the group, as well as trail and weather conditions of the day.
